BOATING
Experience and incredible journey as you launch your boat at one of Tahoe’s many marinas, or rent a chartered boat. The sightseeing is unbelievable and will be a lasting memory.
There are several small marinas around the lake, as well as the huge Tahoe Keys marina at South Lake Tahoe. Slips are a precious commodity, however, and generally are not available except for full-season rentals--and even then, waiting lists are often years long.
The largest marina on the Lake has 260 lifts, 45 ton travel lift, forklift or ramp loading, wet or dry storage, boat rentals, full service and repair available, fuel dock and pumpout.
Tahoe also has a marina right in the center of town; for those who want to be close to the action; with easy access to restaurants, shopping and full services. It also has free mooring, or tie-up to public dock and a travel lift.
Boat Launching
There are many launch ramps available around the lake. During low-water years, many of the ramps are not usable except for the smallest boats.
Also listed below are facilities that offer forklift or travel-lift launching.
Cave Rock Launch Ramp - Launch Fee $12
Coon Street Launch Ramp (Kings Beach) $10
El Dorado Boat Ramp – run by City Parks and Recreation (Ramp is under highway bridge)
Incline Village – Available for use by Incline residents or temporary renters, or Homeowners Association Guests. A launch permit can be issued to those meeting one of these criteria.
Lake Forest Boat Ramp (Next to Coast Guard Station) Tahoe City . ($5 parking fee only)
Tahoe Keys Marina - The largest marina on the lake, with 280 slips, 45 ton trivalent, forklift or ramp launching, wet or dry storage, boat rentals; full boat service and repair available, fuel dock and pump out.
Cave Rock Boat Ramp
This small day-use area is tucked beneath the rugged volcanic face of Cave Rock. Facilities include a boat launch ramp and dock, comfort station, picnic sites, and a small sandy beach. The entrance is on Highway 50, three miles south of Glenbrook, just south of the Cave Rock tunnels. Two launch ramps lead to deep waters close to shore. The parking lot at Cave Rock is limited
Most marinas provide a variety of services, to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Boat Rentals
Nearly any kind of small watercraft can be rented on the lake, including canoes, kayaks, personal watercraft, ski boats, and sail boats.

Charter Boating & Cruises
The most luxurious way to see the lake is to charter a boat with a captain. Most of the fishing charter boats will also do tours. Some spectacular boats are available. For a true birds-eye view, take a sea-plan ride. Also, don’t forget out the paddle-wheeler.
The Captain will provide and interesting look at the history of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding areas.
Try a star studded moonlight tour. You will see more stars and constellations than ever before. The stars are so bright and brilliant.
Goldfish Properties has the perfect accommodations, as well as many amenities, to fit in your plans for a wedding. Emerald Bay is known for its beautiful wedding location overlooking the beautiful and majestic Lake Tahoe.
Planning a Corporate Get-A-Way? What better way to entertain your guests than a cruise. Whether it is for fishing, sightseeing or both. This is the place to be! You can hire your own private boat and Captain with your own Corporate Comedian too! The entertainment, fishing, boating and sightseeing will be unbelievable. Don’t forget to make your reservations in a Lake Tahoe Rental at Goldfish Properties, for a worry free stay.
One nice thing about Tahoe by boat is being able to see some beautiful architecture not accessible by land. Numerous private beaches only accessible with a boat, cool sightseeing, and many places made famous by being used in (one of the) Godfather movies.
